Bogle Zin 2010 – $10.99
Bold and vibrant notes of summer raspberry intoxicate the senses, enticing you to take a sip of this lively red zinfandel. Once on the palate, flavors of briary blackberries and ripe cranberries meld with tones of baking spices such as clove and nutmeg. Nuances are added from the young American oak, concentrating and enhancing the juicy mouthfeel. The full-bodied tannin structure relaxes into a smooth and supple finish: long, lingering and full of enjoyment. You’ll enjoy this Zinfandel from Sierra Foothills, in California.

Ruffino Riserva Ducale – $21.99
This gorgeous Sangiovese from Tuscany, Italy is intense ruby red. The nose Riserva Ducale immediately shows an outstanding elegance, characterised by particularly fragrant flowery and fruity notes. Violet, cherries, wild berries and plums meet with delicately spicy hints of tobacco and white pepper grains, followed by elegant scents of red roses and flint. Notes of fragrant fresh fruit are accompanied by steady yet gentle tannins, that exalt enjoyable spicy hints. The whole tasting sensation is enriched by a persistent finish, that is incredibly fresh and pleasantly mineral and presents an aftertaste with fascinating notes of rosemary.

Jemrose Syrah 2009 – $21.99
Outstanding wine and the unanimous favorite of the Jemrose lineup. This is a very deep, cool climate, California Syrah.  The nose is deep, like a well where you can’t see the bottom. Boysenberries, violets, some black pepper.  Great texture. Very smooth. Black raspberry fruit that started to unwind in the glass to show some complexity.  Lovely wine.   The tiny Bennett Valley AVA is located in the north-eastern corner of the Sonoma Valley wine region, just to the north of the Sonoma Mountain AVA.

Kim Crawford 2012 – $13.99
Fascinating in many ways, this Sauvignon Blanc from Marlborough, New Zealand is upfront with herbaceous aromas, backed by ripe fruit flavors of melon, passion fruit and crisp acidity.  Good to drink with anyone at anytime. Ideally suited to fresh oysters, asparagus dishes or summer salads. Decant this wine to get past its initial reduction and you’ll find a generous, citrus-scented sauvignon, its aromas ranging from Kaffir lime to fresh tangerine.

Gaja Sito Moresco 2010 – $44.99
Nearly equal parts Nebbiolo, Merlot, and Cab. Robust. Smoke, dark fruit, licorice, saddle leather, raspberry, meaty. Well-balanced, and drinks well. A very nice table wine. Several estate-owned vineyards provide the grapes for Sito Moresco, among which is the twenty-five-acre Sito Moresco vineyard in Barbaresco. The name means “Moresco’s site” and refers to the former owner of this vineyard.  Sito Moresco combines the complexity and longevity of Nebbiolo with the refinement and accessibility of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.

Rodney Strong Cabernet Sauvignon 2010 – $15.99
Beautifully crafted, this Cabernet Sauvignon from Sonoma County, California should not be overlooked.  The Alexander Valley signature style is evident in this delicious Cabernet: bold fruit aromas and flavors centered on red plum and boysenberry, and a rich and mouthfilling texture with soft tannins, all of which we’ve framed in the finest oak barrels for just over 16 months. Enjoy over the next 3 – 6 years.

Arizona Stronghold Nachise 2011 – $23.99
Music fans?  Yes, this is the wine by partners Maynard James Keenan (Tool, A Perfect Circle, Pucifer) and Eric Glomski.  This vintage of their flagship Rhône blend has nice range, with dark plum and blackberry fruit mixed with hints of anise, juniper and roasted mesquite. Good cut on the finish, with the toast well-embedded and framed by juicy acidity. Pairs great with any type of game, roast lamb and grilled vegetables.   A crowd-pleaser right out of Arizona, USA.
