Zestos Garnacha Old Vines 2011

zestos-garnacha-2011I hope you all enjoyed the gorgeous weekend we just had. Some well needed rain on the horizon, but I still think we can find some time to fire up the BBQ, and invite a few friends over, and have a $9.00 bottle of 90 point Parker Rated juice, no? Not to mention its MOTHERS DAY THIS Sunday (don’t forget!). Wine and flowers are a lovely combination!

ARRIVING today, and available by the time you all read this, 2011 CVA Zestos Old Vine Garnacha. Can you believe 40 year old vines, for $9.00?  “A staggering value” could not be more accurate. Had this wine Sunday night, after a long day on the soccer fields, with burgers and dogs – it rocked. I can only imagine how well it will go with the bbq recipes we all have! Spain is still delivering pound-for-pound the best values in the market today.  This is the goto red for the summer grill-n-chill. $108.00 a case, how could you not???

2011 CVA Zestos Garnacha Old Vines
A Grenache Dry Red Table wine from Vinos de Madrid, Spain

A staggering value, Patrick Mata brings in 10,000 cases of the 2011 Zestos Garnacha Old Vines, which was vinified in a combination of stainless steel and cement tanks. Made from old vine (over 40 years of age), high altitude (2800 feet) Grenache, this head-pruned vineyard planted on granite soils has produced an unbelievable wine for the price. Lots of kirsch, strawberry, black currant and licorice aromas jump from the glass of this medium-bodied, richly fruity, surprisingly intense red. Drink this pure, sexy effort over the next 1-2 years.  CVA is the abbreviation for Cia de Vinos del Atlantico.

Call me, email me, but reserve yours today, or come on in a grab it. See you soon!

Thank you all as always for the continued support!
